I completed by Undergraduate studies in Computer Science and Mathematics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (Pakistan). I finished my Ph.D. in Computer Science, with emphasis in the field of Computer Vision and Machine Learning, from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Central Florida (UCF). I was part of the Computer Vision Lab II, working under the advice of Dr. Marshall F. Tappen.

My research interests are based around machine learning techniques in computer vision and graphics, including action/gesture recognition, shadow detection/removal, face recognition, computational photography and object detection.

I am currently working as Computer Vision Research Scientist at Sighthound, Inc., leading a team of computer vision PhDs in research and development of techniques in the field of computer vision and machine learning.
